Something I’m following to see what it becomes: Le Zoo made by Mother Games

I first saw an Instagram story about it in progress, then I saw a post about it on LinkedIn by Erin Falter, who is leading growth at the company. I read that the team is on a mission “to create transformative experiences through gameplay” and that statement alone seemed to grab my interest. As I’m gradually becoming more intrigued by the gaming space, I followed Mother Games.
They put out the first teaser for Le Zoo on January 29th, 2025. It’s different. It comes across like a typical short film at first, then the visuals transform into the game. You meet characters from the different realms of Le Zoo. Your brief interactions with them leave you a bit confused, yet understanding of the world that is Le Zoo as if the unfamiliar was more familiar than you expected.
“The reason that we did live action and animated experience within the trailer was really to show that the skills you acquire in the game can be taken outside of the game.” -Kelsey Falter, Co-Founder of Mother Games
Since the trailer dropped, I’ve done some research. These are my main findings:
It’s a combination of gaming styles in one: Le Zoo is a role-playing game (RPG) with different realms where you can go on missions, solve puzzles, engage in player versus player (PvP), or explore on your own and with friends.
Every player will experience the game uniquely: Le Zoo is powered by AI called Womb which personalizes the experience. “When a player makes an action, it gets coded into what is called a vector format and that gets given to an AI layer and that is kind of the way in which your actions can create results and the characters that you interact with start to behave and adapt differently to you,” said Co-Founder, Kelsey Falter. Kelsey also stated, “In Womb, we have something called dots, and dots is basically a data transform system… our emergent gameplay model that is embedded within Le Zoo.”
This is an early example of how generative AI is changing the gaming industry: “We’re creating AI native gaming.” -Kelsey Falter
